Parkview Lake has the qualities for it to be a recreational escape or a place of relaxation. Tall trees surround the lake creating a serene, private atmosphere for your lake endeavors.

Kayaking or canoeing is a great way to explore the calm waters. Paddle your way around the shore for chances to see a loon, squirrel, raccoon, blue heron, or possibly a bald eagle flying above.

Fishers have a grand time fishing the lake’s population of largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, catfish, white crappie, and perch.

Brown County State Park and Nearby Golf Course

Brown County State Park, the largest state park in Indiana, is less than a mile east of Parkview Lake. The 16,000-acre park features scenic roads, marked hiking trails, breathtaking overlooks, two ponds, and nationally recognized mountain biking trails.

You can camp at one of the park’s many campgrounds or stay at the Abe Martin Lodge, featuring an indoor waterpark.

Salt Creek Golf Retreat is also nearby, boasting a scenic, par 71 course that attracts golfers of every skill level.

Things to Do in the City

Indianapolis Motor Speedway is one of the state’s most exciting attractions. Around 400,000 people fill the venue to watch the famous Indy 500 race every year.

Housing attractions like White River State Park, Indianapolis Zoo, Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and Indianapolis Museum of Art, there is something for everyone.

The city is also host to multiple annual events, including the month-long 500 Festival, Indiana State Fair, Broad Ripple Art Fair, City Circle Classic, and Circle of Lights Christmas Tree Lighting.
